Chitwan Highlights Tour is a two-night, three-day itinerary that allows you to see the last untouched woods that once spanned the Indian subcontinent in the Terai (plains) belts of Nepal for a Chitwan Jungle Safari at the 932 square kilometer Chitwan National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site).
Through activities like an elephant safari, canoeing, jungle walks, a visit to the Tharu village and a cultural performance, bird watching with a trained naturalist, and a trip to an elephant breeding facility, the Chitwan Highlights Tour 2 Nights gives you the chance to learn about the local wildlife and culture.
The purpose of a jungle safari in Chitwan is to see the diverse flora and animals of the Chitwan National Park as well as wildlife in its natural environment. More than 500 different bird species live in Chitwan, which is home to over 700 different animal species.
The Royal Bengal Tiger and the Asian one-horned rhinoceros are Chitwan's two primary draws. Other animals that can be found include hog deer, leopards, sloth bears, golden foxes, wild cats, rhesus monkeys, and grey langurs. Birds include thin-billed bubblers, gray-crowned prinias, swamp francolins, and many others.
